During interrogation, two of the three detonated their explosive devices which injured one of the security and killed the other.
PCNI Update on Bomb Blast at University of Maiduguri Campus 13/05/2017, at 11:10 am three suicide bombers, two men and a woman attempted to gain access into university of Maiduguri, but we’re sighted by the university security who stopped them for interrogaton.
The third
suicide bomber hid close to the vicinity of a church in the university, her
explosive later detonated affecting the church structure but no other casualty
except the bomber.
The injured
security man has been taken to University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital after
administration of first aid while the corpses of the dead have been deposited
at the Borno State Specialist Hospital by the NEMA ERT Team.
