THE TONGUE DOES NOT SAVOUR FOOD IN ITS HOTNESS BY FORTUNE HILLS

THE TONGUE DOES NOT SAVOUR FOOD IN ITS HOTNESS

Just as hot food hurts the tongue, pride does not favour any relationship. The tongue might endure the hotness of the food for a while but it gets to a point when the teeth would crush the food against all odds.

Carrying yourself arrogantly high among your counterparts and colleagues actually hurts a lot but some people try to endure hoping that things will change. But after a while of enduring and dying in silence, they’ll come at you, hit you so hard in a way you’ll never expect. In whatever it is you do in life, be humble, it pays. Humility does pay a lot, but don’t mistake humility for foolishness. It pays to be humble.

Your humility and open-mindedness towards the people around you has a way of opening doors for you, a way of attracting God’s favour upon your life and help you meet great people and cross great paths in life. It’s another a new month in the year 2017; it’s not too late to correct mistakes that have been made earlier

Stay humble
