WOMEN ABDUCTED AND GANG RAPED BY ISIS RECEIVE HUMAN RIGHTS AWARD (PHOTOS)

Two Yazidi women who were brutally gang raped by ISIS and kept as sex slaves have received an award in recognition of their bravery.

Nadia Murad and Lamiya Aji Bashar were among thousands of women and girls abducted, tortured and sexually abused by Islamic State fighters in Iraq in 2014.

The Yazidi are a small, religious sect whose beliefs combine elements of several ancient Middle Eastern religions. Islamic State considers them devil-worshippers.

MAN ABDUCTED NEIGHBOUR'S BABY SON AS THEY WERE PREPARING FOR CHURCH (PHOTO)

An unemployed young man, John David, has left a couple, Abdulrahman Balogun and his wife, Bunmi in sorrow after he allegedly abducted their 10-month-old boy.

David and the couple live in Okokwu community, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Punch Metro learnt that David had pretended to be playing with the kid, Richards, on their premises last Sunday around 7pm and eventually fled with him.

WHAT A TRAGEDY AS SECURITY GUARD FOUND DEAD INSIDE PETROL TANKER IN DELTA STATE

A private security guard attached to Frankies Filling Station along Enerhen road in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, was on Monday found dead inside a petrol tanker belonging to the owner of the station where he works.

The middle-age man identified as Emmanuel Obene also known as Emeke had been declared missing since last week Saturday only to be found dead in the tanker when it was about loading fuel at one of the fuel depots near Warri Refinery.

Amid concerns over a new drug-resistant strain, doctors have alerted the public that Syphilis, a sexually transmitted disease (STD), could become impossible to treat with key antibiotics.

This is the findings of a new study published in the journal ‘Nature Microbiology’. Although, Syphilis was once a death sentence, the vast majority of syphilis cases today are curable with penicillin injections.

The police have succeeded in arresting one Umar Abubakar, the 10th gang member involved in the abduction of the wife of the Central Bank Governor, Margaret Emefiele, in September 2016.

President Buhari was placed in Aso Rock for liberation of Igbos– Prophet Onuoha

The Founder and General Overseer of Galilee Christian Centre, Prophet Williams Onuoha has predicted a tougher year in 2017.

He said the in-coming year will be tougher than the outgoing.

Onuoha was speaking at the church’s end of the year thanksgiving, (Gibeon 2016) tagged, “There is a prophet in the land,” where he asserted that with the current economic condition, inflation would be high, adding that there would be drastic change in governance in 2017.

It is no longer news about the arrest of judges, the show of shame by the judiciary in respect to the contradicting judgement given by the same court with the same court of jurisdiction. The judiciary has mocked our democracy. They have made Nigeria look like an amateur in democracy. I wonder if judiciary is still the hope of the common man. A system that wear corruption as a medal, a system full of nepotism and social injustice. What an irony!
