THE JOYS AND THE PAINS OF MOTHERHOOD
MY MOTHER
A
Warm smile spread across my face when my
nurturer picked me up from bed.
Her
angelic singing blessed my young ears as I
stared
into the most sincere eye ever seen.
She
swing me around with joy
and
a giggle escaped my lips.
She
fed me with milk of life from her breast,
Her
tender arms and chest became my tent,
She
would play with me,
She
is the only one who understands why I cry
She
would do whatever it takes to make me
comfortable
and warm.
She
would sing me lovely lullaby
and
watch me sleep as the night goes by
but
the wicked one took her away from me
by
night.
A
part of me goes cold and I wake up
I
cry but no one answers
My
best friend was gone
For
gripped me as I felt loneliness at its peak.
Now
I tour round the world alone....

What a tragedy!!! A Woman runs mad during her wedding introduction ceremony
This shocking incident reportedly happened yesterday in Uganda.
The pretty bride-to-be was dancing with her man only to suddenly go wild, struggling with family to remove her clothes.
see more of the photos....
INSPIRATION OF THE WEEK....
IF YOU THINK.....
If
you think you are beaten you are.
If
you think you dare not, you don’t!
If
you like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s
almost a cinch you won’t.
If
you think you will lose you are lost;
For
out of the world we find
Success
begins with a fellow’s will;
It’s
all in the state of mind.
If
you think you are outclassed, you are,
You
have gone to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before,
You
can ever win a prize.
Life
battle don’t always go
To
the stronger and faster man,
But
sooner or later the man who wins,
Is
the man who thinks he can.......

Nigerian student who was told 'no space' for black students on theatre course graduates from UK University
21-year-old Eno Mfon has graduated with a degree in English and theatre studies from the University of Bristol after a lecturer told her there was 'no space' for black students on a theatre course. What's more, the said lecturer has had to pay to watch Eno's play on stage.
Eno took to her Facebook page to write about the incident alongside a picture of herself in graduation robes. She wrote:
‘When you're the only black kid on your course and one of the head lecturers tells you there's no space for black theatre makers on the curriculum so you spend three years learning about Chekhov and Carol Ann Duffy but then realise that you can write your own stuff for lil black girls and so you do that, and sell out the Bristol Old Vic and the lecturer that told you there's no space for you, pays to watch you perform.’
Eno's play, Check The Label was so successful it ran for three nights at the Bristol Old Vic in late February.
The play is described as a ‘deeply intimate piece based on Eno's own experience of growing up in dark skin, told through poetry, childhood games and music - everything from nursery rhymes to Dizzee Rascal’.
Eno said she initially challenged the lecturers and course leaders at the University of Bristol after discovering that all the works she would be studying for three years were written by white playwrights.
Speaking about the play, Eno said:
‘I decided to confront the experience of colourism and skin bleaching which permeates the Black and Asian community.
‘When I was growing up I noticed visible changes in some of the women around me. There were little signs that revealed the use of lightening cream.
‘I knew how to spot the signs but I never understood the wider implications of this; it was a taboo subject that no one dared to address.
‘Through Check the Label I am attempting to say what many young black girls, including myself, once struggled to articulate.’
The University's head of theatre, Catherine Hindson, said:
'I've spoken to Eno about her post and apologised that she had this negative experience.
'I've invited her to meet with me in September to talk through and get her feedback on changes we've already made in the new Theatre curriculum.
'She agreed that her experience studying here was a positive one in many ways. Indeed, her play Check the Label was made possible through the Studioscripts programme we fund and run through our in-house Drama Society Studiospace, in partnership with Bristol Old Vic.
'The University has made a strong commitment to increasing diversity in its new strategy and we’ve broadened out the curriculum significantly across the Faculty of Arts.'

A SHAME TO DEMOCRACY!!!!
On Saturday, 9th of July 2016. A show of shame was displayed at the Faculty of Social Science, University of Nigeria Nsukka, where democracy was murdered. The election conducted by the faculty was rigged in a manner that made most student ask themselves questions about our democracy. The anticipation and turn out of students for a free and fair election was a total nightmare.
The security personal came to intervene as student protest for the nullification of the election. The protest is what I call a radical protect, an election were ballot boxes are cartoons, an election were agents of were refused assess to the so called ballot box (cartoon). I was privilege to interview one of the agents. He was ,lamenting about the whole scenario. According to him this is the highest level of rigging since he was born. He said that Nigeria as state has not rigged election as to what Faculty of Social Science.........

A world coming to an end !!! Nigerian openly gay pastor, Jide Macauly says GAY means God adores you, God accepts you, God affirms you
Openly gay Nigerian pastor and founder of House of Rainbow church in the UK, Jide Macaulay, says the real meaning of gay is God adores you, God accepts you or God affirms you. He said this in a new post on his Facebook wall. It reads;
I am truly not worried as the inclusive christian ministry with House of Rainbow brings me in contact with many people who are same gender loving, thousands of people around the world just like me. Above all I have encountered God with unimaginable love. To be able, on a daily basis tell gay people God love us just the way we are is a humbling experience and I thank God for calling me. GAY means God Adores You, God Accepts You, God Affirms You. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.’ Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. I am not ashamed to be gay, I regret not knowing better before I got married to a woman in 1991, thank God I was divorced by 1994. There are many millions of stories only if we pay attention. I thought I will share this, I apologise if this is uncomfortable. But I needed to share. God bless you. Jide Macaulay
I had to block another family member and unapologetically shared with another, who is willing to listen. To be rejected by family hurts, especially parent and children, Since I came out as gay, I have thought several times of taking my own life, the rejection cuts deep into my heart and soul, but knowing Christ and believing in an awesome God has been a better option.

THE GREATEST STEPHEN KESHI IS DEAD!!!
Nigerian football icon stephen Okechukwu keshi died suddenly in the early hours of Wednesday in Benin City, Edo state, TheCable understands.
The former international football player and coach had lost his wife of 33 years, Kate, last year after a prolonged battle with cancer.
TheCable confirmed his death from a member of his family as well as one of his close associates.
“He was not ill at all, never showed any signs of illness, but we suspect he never got over the death of his wife,” a friend said.
He is survived by four children and his mother.
keshi, the only Nigerian coach to have won the Africa Cup of Nations, achieved a rare feat in 2013 by becoming only the second person to win the trophy both as a player and a coach.
The only other person to have achieved the feat is Egypt’s Mahmoud El-Gohary.
keshi, a product of St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka, Lagos, started his playing career at a very young age at ACB Football Club, and later played for New Nigeria Bank, Stade d’Abidjan, Africa Sports, Lokeren, Anderlecht, RC Strasbourg, and a host of other clubs.
He represented Nigeria from 1982, at age 20, till 1994, most of the time captaining the Super Eagles and scoring vital goals from his position as a central defender.
He also coached Togo and Nigeria at the World Cup, as well as Mali.
keshi, nicknamed the “Big Boss” for his leadership skills, is the fifth member of the all-conquering 1994 team to die, following Uche Okafor, Thompson Oliha, Rashidi Yekini and Wilfred Agbonavbare.
