THE JOYS AND THE PAINS OF MOTHERHOOD

MY MOTHER
A Warm smile spread across my face when my
nurturer picked me up from bed.
Her angelic singing blessed my young ears as I
stared into the most sincere eye ever seen.

She swing me around with joy
and a giggle escaped my lips.
She fed me with milk of life from her breast,
Her tender arms and chest became my tent,
She would play with me,
She is the only one who understands why I cry
She would do whatever it takes to make me
comfortable and warm.

She would sing me lovely lullaby
and watch me sleep as the night goes by
but the wicked one took her away from me
by night.

A part of me goes cold and I wake up
I cry but no one answers
My best friend was gone
For gripped me as I felt loneliness at its peak.

Now I tour round the world alone....
