The Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot
Rohr has said that he was fulfilled with his lads performances in the Russia
208 World Cup qualifier in Cameroon, insisting that the team exactly got what
it targeted in the two legged encounter.
The coach noted that his target of four points
from the back to back games against Cameroon in the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers
was carefully achieved, adding that his main goal is to lead the Eagles to
Russia 2018 World Cup.
Speaking at the post match conference, Rohr said
Cameroon played better than they did in the first leg, which made it difficult
for Nigeria especially as they introduced three new players into the team that
played on Friday in Uyo.
“It was a different Cameroon team from the one
in Uyo on Friday. It’s natural to put up a fight, when you lose away and
you have a chance to play at home next. They had three fresh players, while we
started the game with same players”, Rohr said.
“Before the game against Cameroon our target
was four points from the two games, we are happy with the one point picked up
here in Yaounde. My goal is to lead the team to the World Cup, and we are on a
good run because we still have more points to play for”.
